Converting away from Electronic means for some might be a sin! for dieselers, it's a big way forward. It looks good too. If you have a healthy $16,000+ you will have a system that supports as many pounds of pressure you wish to stack on. Boost to desired flavor. (up to over a torque fat 2,000hp in this systems case)
Dig those clear valve covers. Diesel is getting pretty.

This, or possibly a 6-71 Supercharger and injector hat on your office desk instead of a corolla in your driveway.

That doesnt look like a valve cover, i think thats just the injection setup. Valve covers appear to be offset under it.

Ah, a custom P7100 on a Powerstroke. Getting rid of one shitty HPOP at a time.

That is the valve cover. it is clear. those rockers will move. Look at nearly 20 sec in this video.

check out Wade Moody's 2000+ hp duramax powered tube frame ex-prostock truck running mid 7's in the quarter.

Yup. it's getting delightfully insane! usually involving 30 point antlers of turbo plumbing!

Huh, i wonder how it stands up to the pressure over long periods of time.

Probably like any other tortorously boosted drag or dyno queen gas engine. Not as long as they want.

truck chassis couldnt handle the power. Dragster chassis for 2015. Expecting high 6's out of the box and faster as he gets it dialed in. Much like the R8, we're introducing lighter and lighter pistons that hold up. Going from evolution to revolution in design running early 2015.

That is quite incredible. How fast power tuning has really come on. Since you're in the know a bit more, what's the dominant power producing engine? It it displacement limited or is a manufacturer design just have the better goods in big power?

cummins is still the most popular and i think those are up arround 1800. Duramax aftermarket heads and billet blocks are out. Some people stroke and orhers destroke. Compression is about 13 to 14 on cummins but the duramax guys favor 16.5. Taking weight out of the reciprocating to get the cranks internally balanced keeps them from twisting and cracking Lots of injector, injector timing, and bowl design requirements that relate to gas direct injection development

So, the bigger v-8's are just a bit more powerful than the Cummins but they are larger displacement. With the de-stroking- it makes me think of some of the vids where i see people running the much hated 6.0's. That leads me to believe it's an RPM development fight trying to make parts last, and then a displacement fight next where possible.

the two extra cylinders and 8 extra valves help a lot and they're hitting 6000rpm now. Im unable to link but do a youtube search on wade moody ngm pro flo truck.
